This earthship mailing list is dedicated to
the serious discussion of earthships and occassionally other forms of architecture which likewise
aim to bring humans into a more intelligent and sustainable relationship with the environment.
The term "earthship" as it concerns this list refers to a specific method of symbiotic design involving
thermal earth mass and recycled materials such as automobile tires and aluminum cans, of the kind introduced
to the
Taos mesa
by Mike Reynolds.
This is a forum for serious discussion. The subscriber base for this list will largely consist of
owner-builders who are in the stages of planning, buying land, developing blueprints,
building, having someone build, helping someone else build, or have already built an earthship. As such,
it is requested that those of you new to the earthship concept refer to the FAQ before subscribing and
posting any questions to the list.
