concept in order to reduce the number of duplicate and rudimentary
questions posted to the list. All members are invited to contribute new
entries, appends, or corrections to this FAQ by sending such contributions

An earthship is a sustainable, virtually self-sufficient form of
human dwelling comprised primarily of natural, inexpensive, and/or readily available materials. It is a dwelling designed in every aspect
to access and maximize natural resources directly from the environment (including the inhabitant himself),
in order to meet all the essential physical needs of life.
